When Alan Sessarego attended his first professional motorcycle race at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California, in the early 1970’s, he was employed as an auto racing photographer for AUTOWEEK. He attended the motorcycle race out of curiosity, and he did not realize it would be 20 years until he attended his next one, as a freelance photographer in 1993. Now, over a dozen years, and over 75 professional races later, he has fulfilled a personal legacy to the sport he loves, in the publication of this 2 volume, 800 pages collection of full color photographs. Time to Look Back is an insider’s glimpse into the people and machines that make motorcycle racing the colorful high stakes sport that it is.
